A Safe Space to Process An Anxious-Avoidant Break-Up

Anxious-avoidant breakups are some of the most difficult breakups to process, especially if this is your first. A lot of things don’t make sense because of your different attachment styles, and the information you get searching Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok etc., can be helpful, but it’s not the same as talking to a friend or family member who knows you personally, knows your ex and knows the details of your story and relationship.

But sometimes friends and family are busy with their own lives and relationships to be there for you the way you’d like them to be. And other times, friends and family mean well, but their support can feel like you’re being judged and/or pressured to act before properly processing the break-up.

They may not understand why you are so heartbroken over your ex and/or what you see in your ex, and some friends and family may not like your ex and want you to move on and find someone else. This can make processing a breakup a lonely experience.

A breakup processing session is NOT about getting your ex back, it’s for people who just want to understand why the breakup happened and make sense of their ex’s words and behaviour before, during and after the breakup, and anything else that doesn’t make sense or emotions that need processing (e.g. what could have saved or not saved the relationship etc.).

I’ll hold a safe space for you to process your thoughts, feelings and emotions and help you make an anxious-avoidant break-up make sense. Together we will map a way forward whether that means moving on and leaving everything behind or getting on with your life but keeping the door open for a future relationship.
